GARDENING HAS BEGUN!

I am so excited!

This is my favorite time of year, oh ok except maybe when the end of July comes and we sit in our garden eating raw tomatoes like candy.

For the last few nights I have heard the peepers calling me.

I walk outside and smell the soil melting...and small green spikes are pushing through the earth.

IT'S TIME! IT'S TIME!

I go today to agway and buy my SUGAR SNAP PEA seeds.......and in the ground they'll go!

I am going to buy LOTS this year and make several teepees! When the snap peas burst out, then I fertilize and plant green beans. My children sit in the teepee reading and eating.

Turning our "green manure" will be this weekends project. For the first time we planted RYE GRASS last fall and it grew over the winter. It is my feeble attempts at going green and organic.

I planted my "spices" this morning. For us that means lavendar, basil, and rosemary.

I will also start my salad beds, I like to grow Romaine lettuce, buttercrunch and a salad mix.

Does anyone else get THIS EXCITED about gardening?

Ah Ah Ah! I was just getting ready to ask you how to plant beans like that! I love the idea of a teepee that the kids can hide in. Maybe I could get them to do their school in there!

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Good luck with the gardening Tera Rose! When you get things up a bit, try taking pics monthly like I do. It is great to look back and see how things have grown and changed over the season.

BTW, loved the ballet pics of Hannah.
